So, let's talk about Le Ciel. Owned and operated by the incredible pastry chef behind Wellington On A Plate’s 2022 and 2023 Best Dish awards, Le Ciel is taking the capital by storm with it's delicious goodies and perfect coffees.

With over a decade's experience working behind the scenes in some of Wellington’s top eateries, such as Cafe Neo and Wolf, Shuchi Bhardwaj took her expertise (and we don't say that word lightly, this talented wahine trained in patisserie at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris!), and opened this dessert space. 

Creating a range of traditional and more unique treats, including all your favourite cakes, pastries, muffins, trifles and cheesecakes, or if you're feeling adventurous, grab a 'crookie' (croissant pastry with cookie dough) for the ultimate Le Ciel experience. And before you ask, the 'crookie' is all the rage in Paris, so must be good - but don't take our word for it, come and try!  

Also offering a selection of savoury treats, like croissant toasties and croissant hotdogs, Le Ciel has something for every Treater, to match your choice of hot and cold drinks, including organic and fair trade coffee from Peoples Coffee.

Le Ciel is truly one of a kind, and situated on Tory Street in the heart of Wellington will no doubt be a hit amongst foodies!
